We created Propense.ai to help professionals help their clients meet more of their goals by enabling them to take advantage of the full spectrum of their capabilities with more precision and less effort.

Over time, the opportunities to serve clients have greatly expanded. However, firms may encounter challenges in providing all available services to organizations that could potentially benefit from them. Propense.ai has developed a platform to help professionals identify these services with zero incremental time.

Accounting and legal professionals often put the needs of their clients and communities before their own — it’s part of their DNA. I witnessed their passion firsthand while working at Kaufman Rossin, one of the top professional services firms in the U.S.

While supporting professionals as part of the firm’s marketing and business development team, I got a first-hand look at the hurdles they faced on a daily basis: keeping up with ever-changing financial and legal regulations, tax laws, fee structures, and technologies. Nonetheless, while balancing all of these challenges, they managed to take care of their clients and give back to their communities with gusto.

Keeping up with Industry Challenges

Times have changed since the 2010s, however, with labor shortages and market consolidation complicating their growing list of challenges. Threatened by impending mergers and acquisitions sweeping the industry, professionals are now tasked with cross-selling services they don’t understand nearly as well as their core lines of business in hopes of retaining their clients and maintaining financial success and independence.

That’s why we created Propense.ai. More than a SaaS platform, Propense.ai exemplifies our commitment to supporting accounting and legal professionals who want to exceed client expectations while overcoming industry challenges. Propense.ai blends AI technology with data science, user psychology, human behavior, and industry insights to anticipate client requirements and streamline the sales process for accounting and legal professionals. The platform provides highly probable cross-selling recommendations for existing customers, maximizing revenue opportunities for professional services firms that ultimately combat labor shortages, market consolidation, and other challenges the sector is facing.

Building a platform that professionals actually look forward to using demanded a dual focus on our part. We quickly learned the importance of offering human-centric design for individual professionals as well as robust enterprise solutions for management.

Conducting in-depth research with our beta clients brought a game-changing insight to light for us: granting users a sense of agency encourages platform use and adoption. Professionals don’t want to be passive button-pushers — they value a sense of ownership, and they want to understand the rationale behind AI-driven cross-selling recommendations so they can weave those insights into their conversations with their clients.

In response to this revelation, we integrated a client feedback feature into the platform, allowing users to actively contribute to the refinement of our models. Reflecting on my career experiences before transitioning to a SaaS company, I experienced warmth and kindness from leaders and mentors across the accounting community. Leaders volunteered hours of their time to refine my understanding of the professional services industry and how to position our technology to best address the industry’s needs. Despite their busy schedules, professionals shared insights with me and other peers. Without them, Propense.ai would not exist today, and I’m grateful for their time, encouragement, and support.

It's important to note that beyond the office, accounting and legal professionals serve as pillars of their communities, volunteering with nonprofits, serving on boards, and donating to people and organizations in need. Their devotion to serving others is another reason we wanted to create a platform that helps them maximize their time.
